1. Could you briefly introduce yourself and your farm? How long have you been farming, and what type of crops do you specialise in? Can you describe the size and structure of your farm?
I have been working in agriculture for about 30 years. I have always worked in the field of viticulture, which is my area of expertise and the core of my farm. I currently manage around 50 hectares of vineyards, spread across different plots. It is a family-run farm, but managed in a highly professional way, combining tradition with new tools and working methods.
2. What inspired you to adopt digital technologies in your farming practices? Was there a specific moment or challenge that led you to this decision?
Rather than inspiration, it was a necessity. New trends and sector requirements push us to adapt. Digital technologies are no longer an option — they are an obligation if we want to keep up with changes and comply with current regulations.
3. How has your agricultural background influenced your approach to adopting new technologies?
Having experienced first-hand all the changes in the sector, and having had to continuously adapt to new standards and requirements, has helped me understand that technology is just another tool to be able to move forward. In the end, we are being asked for more and more control and information, and digital tools make this work much easier.
4. What digital technologies or tools are you currently using on your farm?
We are currently using RawDataAgro, a platform that helps us better manage all field data and track each parcel more precisely.
5. Could you give an example of how you use these digital tools in your daily operations? What are the most significant benefits you have experienced from using digital technologies on your farm?
We use RawDataAgro to monitor the vineyards more precisely and to plan the work better. This allows us to apply only what is needed and when it is needed, avoiding waste of products or resources. It helps us work more efficiently and with less environmental impact. It also helps us keep all the information organised and accessible, which facilitates compliance with regulations and supports decision-making.
6. Have you encountered any challenges when implementing or using digital technologies on your farm? If so, what were they and how did you overcome them?
Overall, we have not experienced major difficulties. As with anything, it takes a bit of time at the beginning to adapt to new ways of working, but once you get used to it, you realise it is actually a great help. And with the right technical support, everything becomes much easier.
