Digital Agroecology Cluster Conference

We are happy to invite you to the Digital Agroecology Cluster Conference, which will take place on 17–18 November 2025 at the L42 venue in Brussels, either in person or online.

Register here:

The conference will convene eight EU-funded projects that are jointly examining how digitalisation and innovation can contribute to sustainable farming practices, including agroecology, organic farming, and agroforestry. By bringing together researchers, policymakers, advisors, farmers, and innovators, the event will serve as a forum for dialogue on how digital technologies can effectively support the agroecological transition in Europe.

The event will focus on what are the barriers and enabling conditions for the uptake of digital technologies in sustainable farming. This topic will be addressed involving policymakers, advisors, farmers and researchers, that will present their views, results and policy recommendations.

The programme will highlight practical case studies on robotics, weed mapping, sensor technologies, and other digital tools, with discussions centred on their trade-offs, benefits, cost-effectiveness, and potential applications in sustainable farming systems. The conference will also present new resources developed by the Cluster projects, such as databases and platforms that provide access to existing tools and their evaluations.

In addition to technological and policy perspectives, the event will place particular emphasis on the social dimension of digitalisation. Experiences from living labs and multi-actor platforms will be shared, offering valuable insights from farmers and advisors who are testing digital solutions in practice. These contributions will provide a more comprehensive understanding of both the opportunities and the challenges associated with the uptake of digital tools in agroecology.

The conference will conclude with a co-creation session involving participants on site. This interactive exchange will provide an opportunity to gather diverse viewpoints on the interplay between digitalisation, European policies, and the future of sustainable farming.

The conference will offer networking opportunities during delicious lunch and coffee breaks supplied with tasty organic food and drinks!
