COEXPHAL

COEXPHAL, the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers' Organisations in the province of Almeria, is currently made up of 101 producing, marketing and ornamental sector companies, achieving a provincial representation of 70% in exports and 65% in fruit and vegetable production, and 78% in ornamental production. In the 2021/2022 season, its members have marketed a total volume of 2,532,453 tons from 11,000 growers who cultivate on 32,500 hectares, of which 24,900 are winter crops. In turn, these horticulturists provide work for around 60,000 people from more than 150 different nationalities, including workers who often encounter difficulties to find work, such as women with no special qualifications, immigrants, people over 45 years of age and the disabled. COEXPHAL was founded in 1977 as the result of the association of 17 cooperatives whose aim was to jointly implement common services, obtain recognition and a bargaining power that they lacked individually. Since then, and throughout its more than 40 years of existence, COEXPHAL has made every effort to offer added value to its members, to provide solutions to their needs and to seek their continuity.
